City Edge Developments stands apart from most private developers because of who owns it: the New Urban Communities Authority holds 60% of the shares, Housing and Development Bank 38%, and the Holding Company for Development and Investment 2%. The company builds in Greater Cairo and on the coast, offering apartments, townhouses, twin houses and villas, and some of its projects include ready-to-move units in the New Capital and New Alamein.
With this many projects, comparing them against each other matters more than comparing City Edge with other firms. In the New Capital, decide whether you want to be near the government district or Mohamed Bin Zayed Axis, then compare price per square meter across Al Maqsad, Baroque and Garden City. In New Alamein, seafront towers differ from inland compounds in both price and service charges, so ask about annual maintenance and tower running costs.
If you are offered a ready unit, inspect it yourself and check finishing and utility meters. If it is under construction, make sure the City Edge Real Estate Development contract states a handover date and a late-delivery clause.
NUCA holds 60%, Housing and Development Bank 38%, and the Holding Company for Development and Investment 2%.
Most are in the New Administrative Capital and New Alamein, with more projects in New Cairo and a mall in Sheikh Zayed.
Ready units save waiting time but usually need a bigger down payment, while off-plan units offer longer installments. Inspect ready units and check handover terms for off-plan.
