Westown SODIC, also marketed as Westown Residences, is a gated neighborhood at the core of SODIC West in Sheikh Zayed, near the 16th district. Its immediate neighbors include several SODIC West landmarks: Westown Hub, The Courtyards, The Polygon business park, Club S and the British International School, along with Allegria and Casa.
Residents reach it via the 26th of July Corridor, Waslet Dahshour and the Cairo–Alexandria Desert Road, which keeps Smart Village, Mall of Arabia and Juhayna Square within a short drive. Because construction is complete, the compound suits families who want to move in now rather than wait years for handover, and anyone who wants work, school and shopping in one district.
Westown SODIC design
The master plan splits the compound into four zones: the Westown Residences housing zone, the Pedestrian Green Spine, a mixed-use zone and a commercial and entertainment zone. The green spine acts as the artery linking every neighborhood, lined with fitness spots, food venues and barbecue areas.
Facades follow a contemporary style of stepped floors and broad terraces, with high ceilings and large windows that bring in daylight. Building heights were varied so that as many homes as possible overlook the landscaped gardens; some ground-floor units get private gardens, while upper units come with open roofs. Water features, walking and jogging paths, and cycling tracks run through the layout.
