Ogami SODIC is a summer resort that SODIC is developing in Ras El Hekma at km 205 of the International Coastal Road (Alexandria – Marsa Matrouh), on 440 feddans of land. Its name comes from Japan's Ogami Island, known for calm sunsets, and that idea carries into a plan where water and greenery shape the experience rather than frame it.
The resort is made up of several phases, among them Nobu Residence, Nobu Villas, Bloom Island, Botanica Town and the Water Chalets, and it hosts a hotel, restaurant and branded homes under the Nobu name through a partnership with Nobu Hospitality. Ogami suits families wanting a roomy, private summer house as well as buyers after an upscale chalet near a rock-free sandy beach.
Ogami SODIC design
DLR Group drew up Ogami's master plan around an island concept: homes sit in small clusters separated by green gaps and waterways, giving each group a clear sense of seclusion. Buildings cover no more than 15% of the land, leaving the remainder to facilities and nature.
Ground levels step from 3.5 m up to 28 m, so some homes face the sea head-on, others catch it from the first floor, and the rest look over lagoons and gardens. Around 80% of units face north, northwest or northeast.
Architectural style
The renders show warm sand-toned facades with arches and modern lattice screens, private pools in front of the villas and palms wrapped around the buildings.
Ogami SODIC size
Ogami spans 440 feddans, only 15% of which is built on. It meets the sea along an 800 m stretch of white sand and is threaded with lagoons running for 11 km, 120,000 m² of them swimmable.
Units currently on offer break down as follows:
- Chalets: 123 to 182 m², with two or three bedrooms.
- Twin houses: 124 to 269 m², with two to four bedrooms.
- Townhouses: 223 to 233 m², with three bedrooms.
- Standalone villas: 250 to 394 m², with three to five bedrooms, some with roofs of up to 96 m².
